About Me

Hi, I’m Rachael. Food is a huge part of my life. My family life has always been lived in the kitchen and I’ve loved eating for as long as I can remember, but I didn’t really discover my love for cooking until I moved away to university and had to learn to do it myself…. and that’s where it all began!

 

I’m now a great collector of cook books and keen on experimenting in the kitchen, I eat out as often as the purse strings allow (and probably a little more often than they would like me to) and I seem to have become the go-to person amongst friends and family for restaurant recommendations and recipes.

Whenever I cook for friends they ask for recipes and when I realised I was spending probably a good 99% of my day talking about food, thinking about food and researching the next restaurant to visit on my very long list of places to eat, I figured it might be an idea to put it all down somewhere. I’m by no means a professional so most of the recipes I put up here are good, honest, simple home cooking that will be demolished by your dinner guests whether it be your kids and family or a table full of friends.

I hope you try some of my recipes out and if you do please let me know and send me pics! Hopefully along my restaurant travels I’ll find some great new places for you to go and try too.
